Illustration holds a special place in my heart, allowing me to blend storytelling and visual artistry. In one memorable course, we illustrated our own short stories and hand-bound them into small books. My story, "In search for color", follows a bear living in a colorful, joyful world who feels out of place.
One day, he discovers a magic portal that transports him to the real world, a place devoid of color and filled with sadness, transforming him into a human. As he navigates this new environment, he encounters a vibrant little girl who offers him a lollipop. This simple act turns him colorful, and for the first time, he sees his reflection and feels genuine happiness.
Creating this story allowed me to explore the power of illustration in conveying emotions and narratives. The process of bringing "In search for color" to life, from concept to final bound book, deepened my appreciation for the art of illustration and its ability to connect with audiences on a profound level.
